As we continue to grow in the “Connect” aspect of the Disciple’s Pathway, our ultimate goal is for every Hoper to be part of a family of disciples sent to make disciples who pursue the transformation of their lives, families, and neighborhoods by the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s about gospel-rooted relationships, helping each other become like Jesus.

One of the ways we share like Jesus is by our relationships. That’s one reason why we are no longer forming groups by putting people of the exact same age, life stage, etc. together. That’s fun, but it’s not the church Jesus designed. His church is very diverse, with people of different generations learning to love and serve one another as we grow.

Is that harder? Yes. Will it challenge us to connect? Yes. But in the challenge there is a grace we experience that matches what Jesus had in mind when He said, “This is my commandment; love one another just as I have loved you.” (John 13:34)

So, when you get the opportunity, jump into doing life together with some folks on your side of town, no matter who they are. Jesus will help you love them – and they will help you love Jesus.
