Over the last few weeks, I have had the opportunity to visit four churches. Each church is being used by God, and each one is different than the others. The one thing they had in common, though, was their commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the Great Commission.

I am always glad to get back home to my family and to worship at Living Hope. I am honored and so grateful to God that I get to be the pastor and preaching elder of such a committed group of saints. Like other churches that I admire, we are committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the Great Commission.

During the month of July, we are going to celebrate the work God has done, and is doing, and that we pray He will do in the future. Living Hope turns 40 years old this month. Every Sunday, we are going to hear from a founding or early member of Living Hope. We’ll learn more about what the church was like then and how God was at work in those early days. We’ll also hear from current elders that will share with us how God is still at work in Living Hope, and describe how we are still working off the original blueprint of our founders by being a congregation committed to Christ, the Great Commission, and making disciples through families.

Please make sure you are in attendance every Sunday in July, but especially the last Sunday (July 31). That morning, we are going to rally around the hope we have in Jesus. Then that afternoon, we are going to come back together for a special service at 3p in the Worship Center. We’ll hear from local dignitaries and pastors from Living Hope past as they discuss the impact God has made in their own personal life, the church, and the community. Following the service, we’ll move to the Connection Center and enjoy good food, great fellowship, and a special time together celebrating the privilege of being part of the Living Hope family. I can’t wait!!!!
