God has laid upon our hearts the need to help the many women in our community and region who are faced with unplanned and/or unwanted pregnancies. These women hide in the secrecy of their shame, often coming to a place of despair where abortion seems to be the only answer. We believe God’s word offers hope for these women, their born and unborn children, and their families. We believe children are a, “heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.” (Ps 127:3) Our mission at the Hope Center for Pregnancy is to share the hope of Christ, share the promise that, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit,” (Ps 34:18) and reassure these women through the word that God has a plan for each of them and their children.

We have been very intentional, careful, and purposeful in the launch of this ministry. In God’s perfect timing, we are excited to begin serving women and families in our community in 2018. However, there is much preparation to be done. Hope Center for Pregnancy has identified various serving opportunities which we will need to fill upon the opening of this ministry. We ask that you, our church family, will prayerfully consider these serving interests. Training for each of these areas will begin in the spring, and we will share that information with you as the time approaches.

Friendly Faces

We do not want our counselees to feel alone at Living Hope. Individuals serving as “friendly faces” will sit with these women during service and make sure they feel welcome. We want you and your family to be a constant in their life on Sunday mornings. You will only serve in this capacity during your time of worship with your spouse/family in the Worship Center or Chapel.

Advocates will get the opportunity to shepherd ladies one on one, encouraging them with God’s word every step of the way, and connecting them to the various bible studies and classes suitable for them.

Safe Home/Safe Families for Women

These are couples who are willing to open their homes for women who might need to escape the abuse in their current living situation. You would commit to loving on, caring for, and ministering to the woman (possible other children as well).

Store Volunteers

Volunteers must be willing to help maintain cleanliness of our Hope Center for Pregnancy store. Duties include sorting, laundering, cleaning, organizing, and switching out items with changing seasons.

Bible Study Teacher

If your gift is teaching, we will be looking for women to be trained in and teach the specific material that is administered by the Hope Center for Pregnancy.

Child Care Volunteers

Volunteers will be needed throughout the day who are willing to watch children so mothers are able to make designated appointments, bible studies, and classes.

Front Office Volunteers

Front office volunteers will be asked to answer phones, make appointments, pull and sort files, and enter data.
