My hope is that…

people’s lives will be encouraged and blessed every Sunday in 2018 when they gather for worship at Living Hope, because they are going to hear GOOD NEWS! That is our theme for 2018. Throughout the year, we will focus on Old Testament characters and stories and learn how they teach us about God’s grace, our need, and the good news that we can have a renewed life in Christ filled with HOPE!

To start the year off, we will focus on the life of Daniel. Daniel was a man of prayer, and prayer will be one of the things we seek to do more of in 2018. Each week, we will have a daily prayer focus that we need our church family to pray over. If we will humble ourselves and look to God in prayer, the Lord has promised to hear us and bring healing and hope. I look forward to a deeper relationship all of us will experience in Christ as we spend more time in focused prayer this year.

One of the things we will be praying for each week is the Hope Center for Pregnancy (HCP). On Sunday, January 7, we will update everyone on the latest developments. The following Sunday, we will host a Q&A session with the HCP leaders and board members to answer any questions and/or concerns about the facility. We’ll also discuss the volunteers needed in order for us to impact the lives of these women, their babies, and their families.

This kind of work will not go unnoticed by the enemy. That devil is not just going to stand by and watch us lovingly pray for people’s salvation and see babies’ lives saved from death. In order to stand against the evil one, we are all going to have to grow and learn how to be stronger in the faith. Be praying about how you are going to invest time this year being trained and getting rooted in the faith.
