My hope is…
We will see God draw us closer to Jesus, to one another, and to our city.
God is at work in our church family. Every week, we are experiencing a movement of God in our worship gatherings. Each service is different in many ways, but the Spirit is at work in very similar ways. Please keep praying for God to be glorified and to move us to live in awe of God with contented hearts and committed lives. Pray for God to speak to each one of us, as we have personal time with Him each day. Pray that we will pray. Please continue to use the “prayer focus” that comes out each Sunday. Also, join the church in our day of fasting and prayer on Saturday, July 7.
Pray also for our love for one another. We need to spend more time together. On Sunday, July 8, we are going to go out to Basil Griffin Park for a picnic. Bring your chairs, games, friends, and family. We will have a food truck on site, but feel free to bring your own meal. The goal of the evening is to catch up with one another and hang out. We are blessed to have multiple services, venues, and campuses. An opportunity to spend a few hours sharing stories, playing cornhole, and enjoying a meal is a real treat. Please take advantage of it.
One more thing to pray for is FLIP. This is a great outreach for our families. Flip is similar to VBS, but there is a parental component, as well. Not only do the kids have a blast learning about Jesus, playing games, and doing crafts, but parents get to learn how to parent more effectively and enjoy some down time with each other over a dessert bar. This is a great time to invite your neighbors and friends to come with you. Please pray that many will be saved and that families will grow stronger in Christ.
We are right in the middle of the summer. It will be over before we know it. Let’s take advantage of these hot days and have some fun serving our Lord and growing in Him, loving one another, and helping our city know our hope.
