My hope is…

Living Hope will continue to thrive and grow into a healthier family of disciples making disciples as we lead more people to anchor their life and hope in Jesus.

God has blessed Living Hope for over forty years. From the early days of meeting in outdoor shelters and funeral homes to now having spacious and beautiful facilities, God’s Spirit has always been at work. Today, Living Hope not only has space for worship gatherings and children’s classes, but also centers for recreation, counseling, and pregnancy. We are seeing hundreds of people come each week and hear about our hope as we help them anchor their life and hope in Jesus.

As we enter into the months of February and March, the elders and I want to hear from our church body. We are going to get a spiritual checkup. You will hear more about the details in the weeks ahead. Please help us by praying and participating in the process. The details will be coming on Sunday morning, February 10. For now, please be in prayer and begin to prepare yourself, your family, and your friends for a time of reflection and consider how God is at work and how each of us is growing in what it means to be a healthy disciple that makes disciples.

Please understand. We don’t have a chance to be who God has called us to be as a church and to do what He has called us to do without prayer, without each other, and without a strong commitment. God is doing the heavy lifting. We must look to Him in prayer and ask Him to do what only God can do. We must help each other by being engaged in worship, growing in our connect groups, Rooted, and other Equip classes, and by being faithful to endure and keep our commitments to Christ and the church. We will all be tempted to slack off. Don’t grow weary in doing good! Be faithful to worship, connect, serve, equip, and multiply. Live hopeful and help others know the story of God and the hope of salvation in Christ alone.
