My hope is…

We will see generosity from our body, gratitude for our God, and growth through our faithfulness in the month of November.

Every year, on a Sunday in November, we receive the Gift for Christ. The Gift for Christ is a special offering that gets our people on the mission field to bring light to our dark world. This offering has an impact that touches close to home and reaches to the ends of the earth. With this offering, we will be able to impact our neighbors and the generations here in Bowling Green. Beyond work with our regular partners, we will be blessing our local school systems, which can make an immediate and eternal difference in homes and children’s lives. With this offering, we will be able to impact our neighbors and the generations around the globe as we go to places in the world where the Gospel is very much needed. Thank you for your generous gifts toward the Gift for Christ this past weekend, and I ask that you pray God uses it in amazing ways over the coming year.

During the month of November, our nation celebrates Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for as a church family. At our worship gatherings on Sunday, November 17 and 24, we will study Psalm 105:1-5 and learn why we have great reasons to give thanks to God. These special Sundays will encourage your soul and challenge us to gratefully walk with God.

Please begin reading and meditating on Psalm 105:1–5

1   Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!
2   Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wondrous works!
3   Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
4   Seek the Lord and his strength;
seek his presence continually!
5   Remember the wondrous works that he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he uttered,

November provides a number of opportunities for growth in our homes, for our neighbors, and every generation. Our middle school and high school students will be going on fall retreats the weekend of November 1. Pray that God will save some and renew the saints in their commitment to Christ. We will be hosting a sold-out women’s conference, as well. Jen Wilkin will be here on November 8 and 9. Pray for Jen and all of the ladies to be inspired with hope and to grow in Christ.

As we enter this crucial month, please continue to pray for revival. Also, pray for the financial needs of the church. We are only 1% under budget, but please join me in praying we exceed budget. There are many needs and opportunities for disciple making, and financial resources are needed to make this ministry happen.
